The members of the committee are all volunteers who give up their own time to run the Village Hall for the community. Regular committee meetings are held (usually) on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to discuss and plan events and funding, as well as the ongoing maintenance of the building and outside space. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in October (usually the first Tuesday); everyone is invited to attend to hear what we have achived during the previous year, our plans for the future, and to put forward any ideas or suggestions for the committee to consider.
We are continually seeking new members to join us, as well as volunteers to assist with our many functions and the ongoing maintenance programme. We’re looking for individuals who can help to ensure that the hall continues to thrive and serve the needs of Beaford’s residents. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to help and be involved. There is no expectation to attend every meeting, you can commit as much, or as little time as you have so, if you have time to spare, we would love to hear from you. If you don’t have the time to commit to a role on the committee, we’d still love to hear from you. You can put forward your ideas and initiatives for any events/functions and/or stall holders that you would like to see at your Village Hall. You can submit your ideas, either by sending an email to beafordvillage@gmail.com or pop a note in our post box just outside the entrance to the hall.
