Big Breakfast was Brill, & Bingo is Back

Thanks to everyone who helped and supported at Saturday’s Big Breakfast. It was a great success so will be repeated later in the year.

And if you’re wondering what to do on Sunday evening, the answer could be to pop along to Bingo. You could win upwards of £50.

Sunday 19th April – 6:30pm until late – Bingo – Bar opens at 6:30pm; eyes down for the first game at 7pm. 10 games at £1.00 per game. Snowball prize stands at £50. A great night in store for everyone, with the inimitable Rob as your host and caller. Snacks available; card and cash payment accepted.

Monday 20th April – 9:30am until 10:45am – Church Meeting

Monday 20th April – 2pm until 4pm – Short Mat Bowls – The Short Mat Bowling Club has a roll-up every Monday afternoon from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. If you fancy giving bowling a try then just come along before the start of the session and either watch or join in with the other bowlers. No experience is necessary as training is given to new and inexperienced players. The club holds a range of different size woods to fit all hand sizes. Please bring a pair of slippers or soft soled shoes with you to wear on the bowling carpets.  The first three sessions are free, after this, each session is charged at £3.00. This includes tea and biscuits and a good chat.  Alternatively, you can ring Gloria or John and have a chat about the bowling club on 01805 603394

Monday 20th April – 6:30pm until 8pm – Youth Group

Tuesday 21st April – 5:30pm until 7pm – Guides

Tuesday 21st April – 8pm until 10pm – Pickleball – Come and have a go at Pickleball in the village hall and join in with one of the fastest growing sports! Equipment is provided and tuition is available for beginners.  First taster session is free, £3 per session thereafter.

Wednesday 22nd April – 10:30am until Noon – Keep Fit – We have around 20 members and most weeks we have a class of between 12-15 people. For the first hour we enjoy a variety of exercises led by our qualified instructor, Renata. The sessions are a good mixture of yoga, Pilates and aerobic movements which promote general well being. All the exercises can be done on a chair or on a mat – the choice is yours, and they aim to strengthen the core, increase flexibility and improve balance. You can join in as many or as few of the exercises as you feel comfortable with. After our exercise session we have some social time to catch up, relax and unwind with plenty of refreshments! Our group covers all ages and abilities and new members are always very welcome, so if you fancy giving it a go, please get in touch : – email Beafordvillage@gmail.com The cost is £7 per session

Thursday 23rd April – 7pm until 9pm – Skittles

Friday 24th April – 9am until 11am – Beaford Parent Community Hub invite you to join us for coffee and biscuits. We would like to bring the old and the young together with the help of biscuits and shared activities. So come and find us every Friday Morning during school term time

Saturday 25th April – 10am until Noon – Church Coffee Morning – Pop in for tea, coffee, delicious homemade cake and a chat – all proceeds go towards our Church

Thanks to The National Lottery, we have some great news to share

The Village Hall Committee are delighted to let all of the users, and our readers & followers know, that we have been allocated a significant grant towards the upgrade of our heating system. We are currently exploring the options available to ensure the upgrade provides a long-term solution that has little negative impact on the environment. ‘Our project was made possible thanks to #NationalLottery players’ A new page has been added to our village hall website that will be updated with our progress.
