Thanks to all the stallholders, villagers, and the local community for coming along and supporting our Spring Market on Saturday 11th April
At 8am, when the hall was opened-up, members of the committee were greeted by keen stallholders waiting to set up an array of varying stalls. At 9:30 all the traders were ready for the start of the market, and the delicious aroma of freshly cooked bacon and sausages filled the room. There was a slow (but steady) trickle of customers for the first hour. But at around 10:30 there was a mass influx of customers all desperate to have their thirst and hunger quenched. The ‘stampede’ in the kitchen lasted until almost closing time. Once our visitors had been ‘fed & watered’, next on their agenda was to browse the market stalls and, buy tickets for the (back by popular demand) raffle. In summary, the Spring Market was a huge success that was enjoyed by all. For those with a Facebook account, here’s a link to a short reel filmed by one of our stallholders of the morning (Permission was sought from the individuals included within the filming) https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1FcssBQeFb/
