Autumn Market Success

The morning of Saturday 12th September saw a well-attended market at the village hall. There was an array of small stallholders offering bespoke items for sale. It was great to see so many new, as well as our usual supporters attending the market; thanks to everyone who came along. Our only regret was that we were a victim of our own success – the kitchen ran out of breakfast baps and cake (apologies to anyone who missed out); we will ensure we have adequate supplies for our next market on 12th December.

But enough of what happened last week, we have our Community Social Evening on Monday, and here’s what you’ve got to look forward to the rest of the week:-

Monday 14th September – 9:30am until 10:45 – Church Meeting

Monday 14th September – 2pm until 4pm – Short Mat Bowls – The Short Mat Bowling Club has a roll-up every Monday afternoon from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. If you fancy giving bowling a try then just come along before the start of the session and either watch or join in with the other bowlers. No experience is necessary as training is given to new and inexperienced players. The club holds a range of different size woods to fit all hand sizes. Please bring a pair of slippers or soft soled shoes with you to wear on the bowling carpets.  The first three sessions are free, after this, each session is charged at £3.00. This includes tea and biscuits and a good chat. Alternatively, you can ring Mick on 07969 312316 or Phil on 07802 689452 to have a chat about the bowling club

Wednesday 16th September – 10:30am until Noon – Keep Fit – We have around 20 members and most weeks we have a class of between 12-15 people. For the first hour we enjoy a variety of exercises led by our qualified instructor, Renata. The sessions are a good mixture of yoga, Pilates and aerobic movements which promote general well being. All the exercises can be done on a chair or on a mat – the choice is yours, and they aim to strengthen the core, increase flexibility and improve balance. You can join in as many or as few of the exercises as you feel comfortable with. After our exercise session we have some social time to catch up, relax and unwind with plenty of refreshments! Our group covers all ages and abilities and new members are always very welcome, so if you fancy giving it a go, please get in touch : – email Beafordvillage@gmail.com The cost is £7 per session
